… dary. Legendary! Now, since you bothered reading more than just the headline, we take it that you already have a YouTube channel - or that you’re at least considering starting one. Right? Well, good call! If you want an online venue for showcasing your music, you can’t go wrong with YouTube. However, there’s always room for improvement. Hence we bring you a five-step playbook that’ll give you a head-start on your journey towards total YouTube domination!

Hannah uploads VLOGS, cover songs, original songs, gear reviews and much more.
One thing you’re sure to find in all of her uploads, though, is the feel of sheer professionalism.
Read on to learn the five strategies she uses to keep her YouTube endeavors awesome.
Hannah will often start her VLOGS by catching up with her followers. How, you ask? Well, think about what happens when you meet a friend that you haven't seen in some time. What are you typically going to say?
Our guess is that you’ll start out with: "Oh my, last time we spoke was in the autumn of 2011/last Christmas/at that crazy rave party …"
Next you’ll probably say something along the lines of: "So, what have you been up to?"
And to wrap up the conversation you’ll go: "Well, I was just on my way to the hairdresser/the bank/a crazy rave party …"
The principle behind catching up to your video audience is the same.
First you should mention what you did in your last video. Then talk about what has happened since your last video (only if anything exciting has happened). Lastly, you should mention if you have something in the mold. Is there a show coming up? What are you going to do in your next video? You get the point.
These three “catching up strategies” help give a sense of chronology and continuity to your channel.
As already mentioned, Hannah uploads different kinds of videos. VLOGS, original music videos, tour diaries, music gadget reviews and behind the scenes footage. You don’t have to do all these kind of uploads, but being diverse keeps things fresh.
Now, when you upload all these kinds of videos there’s a risk that your channel becomes messy. Your followers shouldn’t be going “Where was that video I saw last month?” To prevent that from happening, make sure you organize your videos into logical categories. Hannah has made clearly definable sections like "VLOGS" and "Original Songs".
In short, rule number three is to be tidy. Don’t make your followers search for a needle in a haystack.
Your followers will of course watch your videos in 2D, but there are benefits of treating the video medium as a three-dimensional environment.
Draw attention to the annotations that seem to be put on top of your video (for example: “if you click the button that’s levitating in the top-right corner…”); pretend you can “see” beyond the bottom of the video frame; (for example: “I’ve added all the links I talked about in the description section below”); Act like you can see through the screen (in other words, actually look your audience in the eyes).

YouTube is a great platform. But it’s an even better platform if you mix it with other social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and so on... If your YouTube-followers enjoy your videos, why shouldn’t they want to follow you on Facebook as well?
Hannah makes it easy for her YouTube-followers to find her social media profiles. She always includes a bunch of links in her video descriptions.
